Of all the places I’ve hiked so far in Banff, the Consolation Lakes Trail is the one I most want to get back to. Starting from the shore of Moraine Lake, it has easily some of the best payoffs for the amount of effort involved. It gets remote quickly, so absolutely hike in a group and bring bear spray on this one.
