Alexis here! 👋🏻 Thought I'd share my face and say hello.
It has been a hot minute since I've shared here - 2021 was a freaking DOOZY of a year. We started the year off with a 6 week old baby living in Seattle, and ended it with a 1 year old living in Atlanta. Whaaaat? How did that even happen?!?
Some of the biggest parts of my year:
❤️ I got to film 27 couples get married this year!!!
🏡 My husband and I moved across the country back to our home town of Atlanta, GA to be closer to family now that we have a little babe.
✈️ I traveled back to Seattle 5 times in 7 weeks after moving to Georgia for remaining weddings. Oof.
🎥 I submitted my short film () to lots of little festivals and even won Best Director (whaaat?!) at one of them which was really fun.
👶🏻 I got to watch my daughter turn from a small smushy bean into a wild walking toddler. Being a Mom is so much better than I ever thought it could be.
🏫 We went through THREE daycares and learned about the difficulties of parenting (and finding childcare) while navigating a global pandemic.
The combination of our move, my first year ever as a new Mom, and a busy 2021 due to 2021 reschedules meant that I was feeling BURNT. OUT. when January 1st came around and all the editing was done. I am still feeling it, and it's February. Don't get me wrong - it was an amazing year! But I was so, so tired by the end of it. And I still am. I took a very intentional step away from my business Instagram to try to catch my breath before booking 2022 weddings here in Atlanta. But I'm back! And I am so excited for what's to come in 2022.
I have been planning what to share on social media and realized I have THIRTY FIVE wedding films that have never seen the light of day on my Instagram - so get ready because they are comin'. I just wanted to say hello before I started posting them all and you were all like, "where the hell has she been and why is she so aggressively back all of a sudden?"
Anyways!! How are my other wedding vendors doing out there? So burnt out after a busy 2021?
