It has been a long time since I actually picked up the camera. I've been so busy with work and holiday prep I haven't had time really to devote to a photo session. Today though I took Eevee out and felt like taking a picture of the two of us. Lately I feel like we're more bonded than ever. We have rituals and a language all our own. She is a better friend to me than some people I've known. (I didn't intend for that to rhyme, but it makes me smile that it does.)

So I set up this time lapse of Eevee thinking I would just get a cute video of her sleeping. Turns out, as soon as I left the room she decided to go check out the camera and readjust it. Seriously, that was all her. I cracked up when I watched it. Such a diva, had to change the damn camera angle. Happy Friday y'all! 😆

These are ruins of an old mill that provided paper to the Confederate government during the Civil War. It was burned by the Union Army in 1864. It was rebuilt the following year only to burn again a few years later. After being rebuilt, again, it continued manufacturing paper until 1902. So much history in these old stones... and now my cat sits on them. 😆

It really disappoints me when I see comments on my videos or pictures claiming that "cats shouldn't be on leashes" or that it's somehow inhumane or cruel.

People so quickly jump to conclusions based on a single video or picture and claim animal cruelty when they have no idea what the full story is.

Eevee is leash trained because it was safer for her. It allowed me to bring her more places safely. It allows her to explore a world she wouldn't be able to otherwise, SAFELY. Her safety is in the forefront of my mind ALWAYS. I'm glad to see so many other "adventure cats" helping to change the perception of cats and help the general public realize that cats are capable of so much more.
