In memory of Captain Ariana Savino, a KC-135 Stratotanker pilot who was tragically lost in the recent crash in western Iraq.

Ariana was one of six brave crew members who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. While many see the massive silhouette of a Stratotanker in the sky, we must never forget that behind every call sign, every cockpit window, and every flight suit is a real person with a family, a story, and a lifetime of dreams.

Serving in a combat zone requires a level of courage that few truly understand.

Ariana’s dedication to the skies serves as an inspiration to every aspiring aviator.

Our deepest condolences go out to her family, her squadron, and the loved ones of all six crew members lost. The sky feels a little emptier today, but we fly on in their honor.

A 26-year-old ambitious commercial pilot died in a plane crash in Niagara County, New York, moments after releasing a group of skydivers.

A young and ambitious pilot who was "on the cusp" of realizing her dream of becoming an airline pilot died in a plane crash near Niagara Falls moments after a group of skydivers jumped off her plane.

Melanie Georger, 26, was the only person on board when her single-engine Cessna 208B - the plane that was used for skydiving - crashed on the Niagara Scenic Parkway, killing her, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said

Thunderbirds pilot killed in an F-16 crash in Nevada on Wednesday as Maj. Stephen Del Bagno, an experienced pilot with more than 3,500 hours of flight time.

"Maj. Stephen Del Bagno was killed when his F-16 Fighting Falcon crashed over the Nevada Test and Training Range April 4, 2018 at approximately 10:30 a.m. during a routine aerial demonstration training flight," said an Air Force statement.
