Same goal. Two different lighting setups. 🎥☀️☁️

In the first shot, I used a large scrim to soften the harsh sunlight and create a more flattering, even light.

In the second, Mother Nature did the work for me! The overcast sky acted as one giant natural diffuser, giving us that beautiful, soft light without needing to set up a thing.

Both can produce beautiful, cinematic results. One requires a little more equipment and control, while the other is all about working with what nature gives you.

Some breakthroughs don’t happen on a Zoom call. They happen in a ROOM.

There’s something different about getting away with brothers who are serious about becoming better men.

No posturing.
No performing.
No pretending.

This weekend with the Inner Circle reminded me why I believe so deeply in in-person connection.

The Bible says, “Iron sharpens iron.” But iron can’t sharpen iron from a distance.

Sometimes you don’t need another podcast.
Another book.
Another course.

You need a ROOM.

A room with men who understand the weight you carry.
Men who will challenge you, encourage you, pray with you—and tell you the truth.

Because isolation will keep you stuck in places that brotherhood can pull you out of.

THEY SAID BLACK MEN DON’T DO THIS. 😂🌊

So naturally… we did it.

Business owners. Physicians. Pastors. Executives. Entrepreneurs.

Men who spend most of their lives under pressure, solving problems, leading people and carrying responsibilities.

Most of us had NEVER been whitewater rafting.

And clearly… it showed. 😂😂😂

We flipped the raft.
Fell in the river.
Lost all dignity.
And had the TIME OF OUR LIVES.

Because here’s what I’m learning:

Successful men need to PLAY too.

Sometimes healing looks like therapy.

Sometimes it looks like prayer.

And sometimes it looks like a bunch of grown Black men screaming for their lives on the Ocoee River. 😂😂😂

Get out of your comfort zone.

Do something you’ve never done.

LIVE, brother.
