Congratulations, Emma… The day that I thought would never come is here now, and it’s all surreal to me. Taking it one day at a time as we all take in the moments to celebrate this special milestone. You have accomplished so much… academically, musically, athletically, socially… pretty much in every way possible, and I had the honor to have the best seat to watch you grow and take each step in this journey called life. Wow, what a privilege that has been. What’s amazing is that this is only the beginning! I’m so excited to see how God unfolds all the intricate details He has planned for you. Girl, get ready, because it’s going to be a great ride! My favorite is when we stay up all night talking about EVERYTHING… how we can sit there like best friends and just talk. Like I said during our most recent late night, you inspire me in many ways, but one thing specifically is how you genuinely love your friends. I see you being so happy for others and always intentionally choosing to be there for them, show up for them, make initiatives with them, and just love them. You have the most pure, Godly heart, and you make me want to be more like you. That beauty from within is what makes you even more beautiful on the outside, and I’m so thankful that you love Jesus more than anything. Because you have chosen Jesus, you need nothing else from this world and that confidence shows. I love you with all my heart… I have been the most imperfect mom, but you have always chosen to forgive me and made our home a perfectly imperfect place to make memories together. Thank you for being my amazing daughter. You have grown up, my baby, my first born. You’re so ready to fly… it’s hard to let go, and my heart aches in ways I didn’t know it could, but can’t wait for your new chapter! You’re going to thrive!
