I’m not against new things. I just find myself more and more drawn to the things that feel a little old-fashioned 🤎🕯️🎞️🍁

Toys made by hand. Natural materials. Quiet play. Things that are meant to be loved instead of quickly replaced. Maybe it’s nostalgia, or maybe some things really are worth carrying forward. 🧺🦊🍂

The handcrafted pieces and all the wonderfully imperfect moments that came before them. 🎨🪵

There has been so much cutting, drilling, sanding, painting, stitching, photographing and dreaming tucked into this little collection.

And today, I finally get to say it: Fox in the Pines Designs is officially open 🦊🌲💛

If you’ve found your way here recently, welcome to my little corner of the pines. 🌲

I’m Bridget: a storyteller, maker and gardener living a quiet life in South Georgia with my husband David and our little Maltipoo Molly.

Peach in the Pines began as a place to share the beauty I was noticing in ordinary life, and somewhere along the way it became a collection of stories.

But there are a few other corners of my creative life you may not know about, too.

I’ve been making videos on YouTube for about 15 years now - long before I ever imagined that “content creator” might become a way to describe what I do. Through all the changing seasons of the internet, storytelling has remained one of the things I love most.

I’m also an artist and maker at heart, and these days that creativity has found its way into two little Etsy shops. Through Fox in the Pines Designs, I make whimsical wooden toys, soft companions, and nostalgic handmade pieces from my woodland studio. And through Peach in the Pines Apparel, I get to turn illustrations, words, nature, nostalgia, and the things I love into wearable little stories.

Then there’s Patreon, perhaps the coziest corner of all. It’s where a smaller community of us gather a little closer for early videos, slow-living letters, seasonal mail, recipes, wallpapers, behind-the-scenes pieces of life, and other things that feel especially lovely to share among friends.

So if you love old things, growing things, handmade things, cozy things, beautiful places, changing seasons, and stories that leave you with something to carry into your own life… I hope you’ll pull up a chair and stay awhile. 🤎

One of the less glamorous—but most important—parts of making my wooden toys. 😮‍💨🪵

I work through several different grits of sandpaper, gradually taking each piece from rough-cut wood to that silky-smooth finish that feels so lovely in little hands.

It takes time (and a lot of sanding 😅), but these quiet, often unseen steps are what make handmade pieces so special. And I love Dura Gold sandpaper the most, it’s definitely top tier ✨👌🏼

From the film shelf, vol. 04 🎞️🌿

A few stills from these late-summer days — rainy afternoons, little road trips, garden wandering, time in the woodshop, and the quiet work of planting things for whatever comes next.

August has felt like such a bridge between seasons this year. Still summer, but with little hints that something is beginning to shift.

The new vlog, A Bridge Between Seasons | Planting Seeds for What Comes Next, is now on YouTube. 🤎
