Five family reunions… I think. ❤️
A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to spend another weekend with Pierre’s family, the 49th Alexander Family Reunion, and every year I’m reminded how lucky I am to be welcomed with so much love, kindness, and respect. They’ve always made me feel like I belong.
The truth is, my relationship with my own family has become strained over the years. Our differences have created a distance that’s hard to overcome, which makes the acceptance I’ve found with Pierre’s family mean that much more.
Family isn’t always about who shares your DNA. Sometimes it’s about the people who choose to love you, accept you, and make sure you know you belong.
