landed in NYC during Design Week. I don’t think that was a coincidence.

In a place where art is not only nourished but also cherished and created. Where each car began with a conversation of people not accepting the standards. Where normal color was denied and owners would want something further.

So they went to the Rare Shades.

“It’s different here, it’s respectful.” - A quote I was told at the PALS pre-meet.

Something about the drift community that I hear often is about how everyone is family. It’s not a common thing you see anymore, especially at public meets around the area. But when you gather like-minded individuals, nobody is out here revving for egos. Everyone was respecting the space because they care.

created one of the best car culture moments of my life- and I’ve only been there once.

There’s something special about a night in New York City, but if you add builds from all over the area, people that promote positivity yet shut down whack behavior, the community can flourish.

We’re in an interesting time in car culture where it’s hard to disconnect from social media posts but here, I found that it was hard to pull my camera out. Instead, I found myself just enjoying the atmosphere, surrounded by great conversations and open arms.

Stan took Daikoku’s special feeling and created his own in one of the busiest cities in the world. For people that don’t have the opportunity to fly to Japan and experience Daikoku PA- the experience is here.

It’s a place that truly feels magical and I can’t wait to rejoin you all again. See you at AAPI.

In 10 days, we covered over 800 miles on just the trip alone. As a media team, we covered over 2000 miles total. Personally, I shot over 1TB of footage culminating to over 1000 edited photos and hours of video.

The Hero Cars drift school is at Autobahn CC in Joliet, Illinois. It’s the most I’ve ever seen that pad being used in the last decade of shooting at Autobahn. we’re really on the cusp of creating a great space for drifting in Illinois and surrounding areas.

It’s an awesome facility that’s really starting to support drift more and more each time. See you all again soon.
