As soon as June arrives, I always start itching to go to the beach! So naturally, I had to throw it back the sweetest Savannah elopement and most hilarious and genuine couple: Anita and Stefan. I will always treasure being one of the few people to witness, experience, and document their wedding day. It was such an honor, and the most fun day. From the chapel, to the beach, to the historic downtown of Savannah, Georgia… their big day was intimate and unforgettable!

Most brides live in fear of a storm raining out their wedding day… but this iconic first look with Alli and Patrick was breathtaking and emotional because this couple surrendered their plans and embraced the weather. The wind was insane, and a major storm cell was on its way, but we decided to go for it and carry on with their first look as planned. Alli wore her mother’s vintage wedding gown, and Patrick was in uniform. I will never forget the power and magic of this moment as the leaves swirled around them like a vortex and the clouds rolled in.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve introduced myself here on IG, so I figured it was time! Howdy, I’m Christina Moon, the artist and business owner behind Luna Legacies Photography! These photos and selfies are a glimpse into who I am when I’m not hiding behind a professional camera lens, because let’s be honest… that’s only a small fraction of who I am! Here are some rapid fire facts to give you a glimpse into who you are actually hiring when you book me as your photographer:

1. If I were a book character, I’d definitely been Anne of Green Gables! My middle name is even Anne, and I’ve loved and resonated with her since I was a child. (Peep the second slide to see me fulfilling a bucket-list dream of visiting Prince Edward Island and posing alongside the statue of Lucy Maud Montgomery!)

2. I married my middle school sweetheart ten years ago when we were literal babies at 19 and 20 years old. Needless to say, we learned and grown a lot since then!

3. I became a mother in 2023, and having my son completely altered my brain chemistry. It expanded everything about me, and transformed how I approach my art as a photographer in the best way. Needless to say, I adore him.

4. I consider myself to be a very spiritual person, and the closest I feel to God and the divine is always out in nature. I love hiking, camping, and traveling for this reason especially.

5. I live on 38 acres of land in the foothills of North Georgia. We are in the process of building our own home and learning how to care for this beautiful piece of property that our little family now calls home.

6. I used to be a barista. Working in specialty coffee in the Atlanta area was my favorite job I’ve had outside of photography! I still love coffee, and my at home café is one of my happy places lol. If you ever come visit me, I’ll happily make you a salted honey latte or a single origin chemex pour over!

7. I love animals. Currently, I have my soul dog, Luna, and two cats. But someday we will add horses, chickens, ducks, and bees to our menagerie of animals on the land!

8. When I’m not photographing love stories, or caring for my family, I spend my free time reading and painting!

I will never get over this adorable couple and the beauty of this ethereal session at the historic Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. These horizontal shots never do as well here on IG, but the framing is just too good not give them their own place on the grid. And always remember… your photo session with me can look however you want it to! A little bit witchy, all in black, at a historic cemetery? I’m down. Romantic and whimsical picnic in a field a flowers? Count me in. Adventurous hike and cinematic views on a mountaintop? Say less. I love creating art from the things that are authentic and personal to my incredible couples!

Early morning moments from Shea and Bryan’s mountain elopement at a cozy cabin in North Georgia. These photos of the two of them getting ready in a shared space, writing down vows, getting dressed, sharing love notes, feel so intimate and sacred to me. Their wedding was incredibly beautiful, but the start of the day held space for the most tender and slow moments that needed their own place on the feed.

Megan and Spencer’s wedding in Dahlonega, Georgia at Juliette Chapel was such an incredible day. Their love is tender and sweet, and their connection is so pure. They surrounded themselves with a small group of family and close friends, and all the best food they could think of. Coffee, ice cream, hand tossed pizza, and a community cooler of their favorite drinks. Their reception felt like a chill backyard hang, and the hugs and celebratory moments after they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife had tears in everyone’s eyes!

Ritishka and Danny’s day was a romantic and classic summer wedding at Ashton Gardens here in Georgia. Some of my favorite moments were Jeni’s Ice Cream at the reception, a hilarious first look with the groom and the bride’s father, and the emotional and sincere moments of prayer during the chapel ceremony. Plus, I will never get over how tenderly and joyfully Danny looks at her!

Both the architecture and the gardens at create the most striking backdrop for a wedding day. There is no shortage of beauty or unique photo spots at this wedding venue! Simone and Brandon’s summer garden wedding was stunning, and though it’s hard to choose a favorite moment from their day… I’d have to say mine would be the first look on the grand staircase!

The best getting ready photos are the ones that simply aren’t posed. I love these emotional and intimate black and white portraits from Katelyn and Nathan’s summer wedding day at . They show moments that were too genuine and organic to have been posed. The bedroom was small, but the lighting was soft. The interactions between loved ones were so pure. Being witness to moments of pure human connection is truly why I loved documenting weddings so much. It is such an honor!
