This sweet couple said “I do” in the places that meant the most to them, Elizabeth’s childhood home and the chapel she attended for school. She walked the same street she once traveled to school every day, this time on her way to the chapel to marry her best friend. And to make the day even more personal, they celebrated with a backyard wedding reception right at her childhood home.

Villa Cipressi has hosted centuries of history. This dance is the part I’ll remember.

I’ve photographed weddings all over, and there’s something about Lake Como that slows everyone down. Maybe it’s the water. Maybe it’s knowing you’re somewhere your grandchildren will ask about.

Whatever it was, these two weren’t thinking about any of that in this moment. Just each other.
