It nurtures us, provides pleasure, it's a means of communication, and it's an equalizer. Food allows us to tell stories. This is why as a creative agency, we love telling the stories of food, culture, and the people who facilitate these unforgettable experiences.

Who really owns and distributes culture? What does it look like to fight for your dream and fight for another yeah at a 9-5?

Most of all… is it really worth it?

We explore all of this and more in a short film about a young Black woman keeping her dream alive while keeping her job.

Why build an all Black femme crew? Here’s why…

Being seen and held.

The space to acknowledge who we really are outside of the box we’ve been placed in.

To tell our story with depth and passion in a way that only we can.

Because there’s not enough of us in film.

Because it’s way more fun, efficient, and productive.

Because I needed it.

My crew needed it.

My cast needed it.

The world needs Black girl magic.

Something to celebrate!

My short film “For The Culture” was the topic of discussion in my recent interview with Canvas Rebel.

Talking about the process was such a great way to unpack my feelings and everything we went through to make this happen.

I’m so grateful for the crew I had and support I received to make this happen.

Culture can’t be owned and yet, it has a price for participation.

Corporations struggle to buy the real estate of resonance because they can’t understand that it’s not up for sale…

It’s not a trend…
It’s not up for the taking…

Culture is integrated in identity.

My short film, ‘For The Culture’ explores that through the lens of a young Jamaican woman, Keisha who is finding her way through her culture and her dream while paying her bills - something we can all relate to.

Story time - making my second short film, here’s how it’s going

03/04/2026

I’m making a short film on March 20th - 21st, and March 27th-28th.

It’s a story about a Black woman who stands up for herself and finds her voice in the process.

Black women are so much more than the side-kick, the wise one supporting the lead, or the desperate one that life drags down to her lowest point.

Our lives are full experiences with depth and meaning. That’s my point of view as a director.

I’m building a Black femme crew and providing equipment crafty, credits, and vibes.

I need a cinematographer, an editor, a camera operator, and 2 more PA’s.

The form to apply is in my stories!
