After a brief break from weddings, I got to shoot one of the most meaningful weddings of my career.

Taryn + Teddy got married at the beautiful , where you’re greeted by a stunning garden and architecture. 🌺

The establishing shots from wedding days are so peaceful, the calm before a whirlwind of ripping and running! They’re also necessary, because in all of the moving pieces, a still moment like this can be so sweet and grounding for a couple.

When preparing with my clients leading up to their Wedding Day, one area I really tend to focus on is decor. The Bride and Groom have such a whirlwind of a day, that they often don't get to appreciate the details they spent months hand-selecting. ⠀

A few questions around Wedding Day decor: ⠀
- How do you want to remember your day? Make sure your theme represents your taste and don't rely too heavily on what's trending at the moment. ⠀
- What details are absolute must haves? While I work from a shot list, there's still an element of unpredictability on Wedding Days.⠀
- Don't get too hung up on "traditions." If you want a first look, have one! If it rains, we'll find a way to make it memorable. Keep the main thing the main thing - you're getting married, be sure that you love the day you create 🤍⠀

It was an absolute joy to witness the love, community and FUN from Ambrosia + Fred’s wedding day. The scenery, good food, music and everything else just enhanced the beauty of their care for one another and their children.

I’ve been reliving this day through their sneak peeks and am still swooning 🤍

Take a moment and image: you and your spouse are sitting on your couch three years from your wedding day. You look up and see a photo of you smiling from ear to ear hanging over your mantel, surprised at how much you've grown in love from that day.

You glance at your wedding album - then open it to see all the faces of your loved ones who joined you all those years ago, and marvel at how so much life has happened since then. Some people have had children, some have moved far away, started new careers and more. You let out a sigh of relief and smile. You have these moments from one of the best days of your life frozen in time for the rest of your lives.

That warmth and joy is something you deserve to feel each time you remember your wedding day. 🤍
