Hi y’all! I am absolutely terrible at Facebook and remembering that this is here. Long story short, I was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer and have been recovering from surgery, but I’m doing well, dont worry! I am feeling more and more human each day, and have opened my calendar back up for a couple more sessions before the end of the year- I miss working terribly!

I’m all for supporting small business: I have almost always spent a little more than necessary to do so. That said, it’s often, and unfortunately, a privilege for us all. I am so heartbroken for our friends who have lost their jobs recently- it is a hardship with far-reaching consequences and stressors, so I’m gonna lay off the “support small businesses!” for the time being because a lot of us are in survival mode, hoping nothing catastrophic will happen. I know there are big arguments surrounding the assertion that those laid off and affected by defunding make up such a small percentage of our nation, but that’s so many lives, so many families, and so much harm done.

Photography is a luxury thing. While I think it’s incredibly valuable for a multitude of reasons, it is certainly not a need. I can’t possibly know the situations of all of my friends and clients, but because of all of you, I was able to break into a saturated market and create a successful small business against many odds. If you have supported me and invested in documenting your life over the years but find that you may not have the luxury of doing so this year because you’ve lost your job or resources, or you’re scared, or you’re stressed, PLEASE reach out to me if this is something that’s really important to you and you’d like to work something out. If you are anxious and simply need to vent to someone outside of your friend circle so you can feel heard or show up in a better headspace for your family and friends, I’m here 🙋🏻‍♀️ if you’re a fellow small business owner and you’re seeing some negative shifts in how your own business is going, I’m here for you, too. If you work for or with a nonprofit or a community-serving group that is suffering or lost funding and could use help from a photographer or writer, reach out and I’ll do my best to help you in whatever way I can. If you’re another small or large business that is doing ok for now, please reach out to your community and pull anyone up that you can. Volunteer where you can, fill hard-to-fill spots when you can.

I didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving growing up, but I’m trying to invite some traditions of gratitude and giving into my family more and more each year. Ever since I started this small business, it’s been important to me to give back to my community and, if possible, communities outside of my own that deserve recognition and support. This year, I am offering 10 spots for half sessions (my current rate for those is $475) in exchange for a $400 donation to
I am eternally grateful for the risks and sacrifices my mother made, risking her life and crossing an ocean to ensure I was born into a world that wasn’t poverty stricken with little to no access to education. We take for granted every day what a public education system means for ourselves and our kids. provides not only a high quality education to children who would otherwise not have had such access, but provides them with all of their needs and strives to lift their families out of cyclical poverty.
By communicating to me that you’ll make this donation by Tuesday, donating $400 to their cause, and emailing me the proof, you will receive a coupon code for a half session that you can use between February 2025-December 2025. If your company matches your donation, you’ll get an auto-upgrade to a full session. This session can be gifted and emailed to a recipient of your choice in the form of a gift card or used by you.
I hope everyone gets the opportunity to spend a restful day with family, friends, and loved ones. It feels like we are constantly pushed to buy more, acquire more, do more: despite these pressures, I hope we can all make space for giving, resting, and quality time this season ❤️
Gratitude aside, I’m always in mourning on this day for the indigenous lives, traditions, and freedoms lost in order for this holiday to exist, but again, truly grateful for a small break with my family.

After much consideration on my part, my daughters Giuliana, Giselle, and Giovanna will be making a select few guest appearances as my assistants this fall season 😍 I don’t know whether they’re more excited to help me do what I love, make a little money, or leave their brothers at home for “girl power time” 😂 I’m especially excited for the few fams who get to meet my reason for ✨every✨ season!
