Welcome to Ashley Alderfer Photography. I am a follower of Jesus, mommy to four busy kiddos, wife to my high school sweetheart, lover of travel, and a serious shopping and diet coke addict. Besides the joy I find in my hectic days of being a stay at home mom, there's nothing else I enjoy more than capturing the smiles of loved ones. Out of this passion, grew Ashley Alderfer Photography. I feel like I've been non-existent on social the last few months. Winter is usually quiet as it isn't the prettiest scenery for outdoor photos!

With that being said, tonight was 60 degrees and SUNNY! Melissa and Jeremy were troopers as we navigated wet, squishy ground. But, we made the most out of winter this time of year and captured this beautiful mama! I know this sweet family is counting down the days to meet their baby girl. She is already so loved!

There are too many perfect ones for one post. I literally "awed" out loud when I was uploading to my computer over some of these. 😍
So, I'll be sharing more another day. This session was just what I needed to get my creative juices flowing again and anticipate another fun year ahead of photography with all of you. 🥰

Guess what?! I'm excited to announce I'm going to be opening my greenhouse for the whole month of April for mini sessions!

Rather than pack them all in to one weekend, I'm going to give us lots of time to work around crazy spring schedules with ball and leave it set up for a whole month!
Sessions will be available starting April 4th and run until the end of April. Think spring portraits, motherhood, or even updated family photos!

Some Saturday spots will be open, but also weekdays after school! Message me to get on the list to book one!

Another Ethiopia post for two other amazing ministries worth supporting Hope for Korah and Carry 117.
They have support for women and their families in various ways including income generation, daycare, education and family sponsorship.
These women come to these ministries when they have absolutely no where else to turn, and they come along beside these women and help stabilize and meet them in their desperation.
We were able to visit Carry 117 new building they've been fundraising for. Jeremy was able to spend time on two days helping with various mechanical needs.
Bibles were bought for both ministries.
We visited the Hope for Korah food distribution where they provide hundreds of children and nursing mothers breakfast every day.
They do so much that I'm not even mentioning, but at the core of them is their love for Jesus and reaching their community for Him. Meeting their physical needs while simultaneously meeting their spiritual need!

The main reason for our visit to Ethiopia is to work with Out of the Ashes, Inc. This Christian organization works with families within the trash dump area to provide support and education to children and families.
We started sponsoring with them 13 years ago. It's still the highlight of our trip to visit the homes of our sponsor children, connect with precious kids we sponsored, and watch the impact that's happening bc of people investing in these kids. I know there's always a need for sponsors. Please, reach out if you'd like to help a kiddo in this way. We'd love to be a part in helping connect you to a sweet kid.

I was amazed when package after package arrived for Ethiopia from so many of you!
Thank you for helping us love on some amazing kids and ministries. Because of you, we were able to take twelve 50 # duffle bags full of donations to give to some deserving ministries.
