My wife said the chest freezer stopped working and it has to be fixed soon before we lose $hundreds of dollars in spoiled food.

So she told me she is going to hurry and get on Facebook and go through all the Groups if that is what it takes to find a cheap appliance repair person. She figures if she goes through about 10 Groups and scrolls down through about 50 posts or so on each Group - she will find the cheap appliance repair person we need.

Is she approaching this wrong? Makes me think that posting all over Groups as a business is not the answer. Why do that when anyone who is SERIOUS about finding products and services they need just do a 🔍 Search Facebook? What are the main results? Not posts in various Groups. It is the pages of those businesses and posts they do on their own business pages. Now, be CAUTIOUS about messaging them. Why? Because despite your specific search phrases, there will be businesses that are located in other states in your search results. Some businesses don't conveniently let you know where exactly they are located. You have to waste your time trying to figure that out - if you have the time.

Some will say posting in various Groups now and then gets you "exposure". Isn't it probable the business owner cares more about his or her own posts a lot more than anyone else? Nobody cares when they have no need for appliance repair. Instead of manually posting all over Groups even with thousands of members who usually ignore your posts - instead of YOU searching for customers - make it easier for customers to 🔍search and find you! I wonder if it would help businesses posts if there were a team of, say, wedding professionals, who reacted and sometimes even start conversations on one another's posts to help the other team member but also by doing so enhance their own presence by doing that? This applies ESPECIALLY for Disc Jockey services. You MUST post REELS. Almost every single time you post. Especially on your own page. Also, not just standing looking like your bored and not even grooving to the music. Also, not just with the camera showing you with your equipment and there is no crowd and no dancing! Really? Just playing. Look, as a DJ Service you have to show prospective customers in VIDEO REELS that you know how to work the crowd. You can interact in fun and entertaining ways besides motivating the crowd to get out and have fun dancing to the music. REELS should always capture your enthusiasm, confident radio-voice as you go through a well-thought out routine. So, have fun with it. But please, no boring video that just shows you all by yourself playing some music. And if you concerned about copyright infringement, there is plenty of great sounding music that will fit your needs without copyright violations. You can record over the actual music that you were playing for a fun and great crowd. Good luck! You for who this was written will not need as much luck now. 😉
