I didn't think I would get emotional writing this post, but here we are.
Phox Fire Photography is no more.
I have been quietly building my new business and brand the last few months, and its time to say goodbye to my first labor of love.
Since starting Phox Fire I have learned so much and it allowed me to refine my vision. And sometimes to bring your vision to life, you have to transform what you are. Like a Cicada. To those of you that have followed me since the beginning, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. And I hope to see you over at my new home Wild Cicada Images.

I have always loved this quote by Thoreau and it always made me jealous for my own "Walden". I wanted to be surrounded by green growing things, water, and forests flush with life. One of the exciting changes for Phox Fire Photography that I promised to share with you guys is my new location! We have been lucky enough to purchase a home in Athens with my own personal Walden. Over the coming months I will be laying out my plans for an outdoor studio and I can't wait to share the progress with you guys. There are more changes coming, but for now, enjoy some sneak peaks of a place that is quickly claiming my heart.

When you're birthday dreams for Disney are dashed by corona, you take it like a princess and make the most of it. When this little ones mom asked me if I could give her daughter a birthday shoot fit for a princess I said "um...yes please." This was so much fun and I can't wait to show you guys the rest!

Travel is one of my loves in life. This year it's obviously a little different and there are no epic trips planned. What there IS plenty of is anxiety and uncertainty about what the rest of the year will bring. In the meantime, I'm reliving some past trips and doing some editing I promised myself I would do like a year ago. I hope y'all enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them. Deep breath people. We're gonna be okay and one day we'll be able to enjoy our favorite things again.
