I’ve had the privilege of capturing a lot of fun concerts over the past couple of years. From events at The Classic Center and Akins Ford Arena to Jam For Cam. It’s been a ton of fun interacting with fans, capturing their experiences, and getting to see some true legends on stage.

When I say “I love making food & beverage content” this is what I mean! Because of course I’m going to stick my camera on a magic arm and show the POV of a pizza going into the oven! 🍕🔥

The team at Killer Crust Pizza Epps Bridge has been so fun to work with, putting up with multiple ideas and visits from me. I love that they’re open to trying my crazy experiments and trusting the process. We’ve definitely got a few more coming down the pipeline soon 👀 Definitely be sure to swing by their place and grab a slice. Or two. Or a pie.

New (old) gear alert! 🚨 My uncle recently gifted me my grandfather’s old Rollei 35mm compact film camera. Swipe for some photos and a story!

It’s an interesting piece of kit. You can’t see focus or aperture adjustments in real time. Which means I had to guess on my focal distance and exposure and pray that I got it right! 😅

I was also experimenting with Sunny 16 with this roll of film (Fuji 400). Basically set it and forget it camera settings depending on the type of weather/lighting. Overall, I’m pleased with how well I was able to get everything to look!

The other thing is that it’s a fixed focal length lens. One 40mm piece of glass. Which means walking around to find the perfect composition. Which I don’t always do 😅 but it was fun to try!

Now of course, because this camera has been sitting for years, it definitely needs to be serviced. So I’m hoping to find a reputable place to take both this and my mom’s camera so I can start using them more frequently.

Until then, I’m going to try to practice what film has taught me on the digital side of things. I’ve got three more rolls of film sitting at home that I’d love to experiment with. But I want to ensure these cameras are functioning properly, since they’re part of my family’s legacy.

Saving these fun shots of 1FW at Akins Ford Arena for the end! I had no idea how these would turn out, since the light meter wasn’t working and I had no weather to reference indoors.

This wound up being the last exposure on the roll, and probably one of my favorites! All of these were directly out of camera - no editing done on my end. Thanks to Bellows Film Lab for getting these turned around so quickly! And thank y’all for reading, if you made it this far! Caught in the wild at Athens Film Festival!

I can’t believe it’s almost been a month since this incredible weekend. From having a short film I worked on kick off the entire festival, to filming the red carpet, and working with/meeting an amazing group of volunteers & filmmakers all weekend. I had so much fun and am already looking forward to next year’s event!

I had a blast shooting Athens B**r Fest at Akins Ford Arena on film! 🎞️

This roll of Kodak Ultramax 400 has so far been my favorite. I didn’t edit these scans in any way and I love how unique each frame is. I’ve got three more rolls to experiment with currently, but I think the Ultramax will be a mainstay.

Thank you Bellows Film Lab for getting these scans turned around so quickly!

Some of my favorite shots from Complexity: The Documentary (filmed by me! 😂)

In the summer of 2024, I started working on a documentary. My incredibly talented friend had just spent 10 years writing an original musical based on the real-life stories of Travis Alexander and his murderer, Jodi Arias - a case that took the national stage in the early 2010s.

While I never got to finish the project before moving to Georgia, Kate and her incredible team not only put on the show, but finished editing the documentary AND are working on the Original Cast Recording!

I could not be more proud of her - ten years is a long time to pursue a dream. She stuck with it and has everything to show for it. I’m happy to have been even the smallest part of the journey!
