Last night’s maternity session was one I’ll never forget — because it was for my sister .
It feels like just yesterday she was the tiny girl sneaking into my room, borrowing my makeup, crawling into my bed, and making me feel like the most important person in her world.
Now, she’s about to become a mama herself, and my heart can hardly hold all the emotions.

They say time flies, and they’re right — but nothing prepares you for moments like these.
Sweet baby Bri, you are already so loved. I can’t wait to meet you and spoil you and watch you grow.

Mia, welcome to motherhood. You’re going to be amazing. And no matter how old we get, I’ll always be here, cheering you on.

Well last night was filled with cuddles, coughing, crying and sickness. So today will consist of taking care of my oldest son who's sick, getting outside for some fresh air and sunshine, baking some goodies and resting our bodies with some Veggietales Easter edition.

Let's share some knowledge we've gained along this journey by commenting your go to hacks for your sick kiddos. I'll go first.

🍍Smoothies (they soothe sore throats and you can sneak in lots of goodness in them, Sidenote pineapple is great for coughs!)
🍲 Homemade chicken noodle soup (unless your kid is picky like mine and you settle for some Campbells Paw Patrol soup 😂)
☀️ Fresh air and sunshine (seriously vitamin D is so beneficial for overcoming sickness)
💦 Lots of water (coconut water with orange juice is a great combo to help remineralize the body)
🎥 Movies to let the body slow down & heal
💊 Vitamins (vitamin c, probiotics, zinc & elderberry to name a few)
😴 Rest, rest and more rest

Oh friends I don't know about you but the transition to Spring has brought me so much joy! From open windows, longer days of play and nights at the ball field this season has been so life giving.

Some things I'm looking forward to coming up are more Spring and summertime recipes, utilizing our ice cream maker, evenings around a fire pit, creating a primitive shelter on our property with the boys and watching the gorgeous sunsets.

There's something beautiful about the innocence of a child in a windowsill watching the leaves fall that touches my heart. My boys remind me so much to slow down and appreciate the beauty of the little things in life. I hope he never loses his sense of awe and wonder at the simplest things.

So mamas don't forget to grab your phones or cameras sometimes and document the beauty of the small joys in your daily life with your babies. Don't worry over the laundry on the chair, the toys scattered around or the fact that they're still in jammies and just capture these beautiful days with your little loves. You'll be glad you did 🤍.

🍂Fall Petite Sessions

With the weather finally cooling down it has me so excited to share about my fall petite sessions that are coming up soon! I've opened up these up to twice a year (fall and spring) and am so excited to serve your family in this gorgeous season.

If you're wondering what a petite session is it's shorter duration and at lower cost compared to a full length session. This tends to be a hit with dads and littles that don't want to take pictures for an hour 😉. You can use these as an update for family photos or a Christmas card to share with family and friends.

It may have been super hot and bugs out galore but the light was an unpaid sponsor for this session. I'm looking forward to a cooler season for my clients but will miss this later evening sunshine. Baby boy was the best sport and the sweetest lover of his precious mama 🤍.
