I have been reflecting a lot on the gift of intimacy we have with the Lord in the Eucharist. This moment and image has been returning in my mind a lot, reminding me of our intimacy with Christ.

In the same way that the simple touch of their hands brought calm to their restless hearts on this wedding day, His flesh to ours provides us unexplainable peace.

A new phrase I am sharing with y’all in this season is “capturing slivers of His beauty.”

The present moment is the greatest gift we can be given. In any given moment we are actively being loved by the Lord and the Holy Spirit is present within us. In photography, I’m capturing a sliver of beauty of the moment itself. I can’t capture the whole thing because in reality, I can’t capture your heart on a camera. You know that better than anyone. Only you and God know what’s occurring in your heart in the moment of an image.

So here is an image where I had the honor to capture a sliver of His beauty. The beauty of a husband and wife who are becoming one in thanksgiving with Our Lady.

Lindsey came to me about doing a photoshoot. She had a goal in mind.

Joy.

Lindsey was intent on capturing this phase of the presence of love and pure beauty.
We spent time picking out what that looked like for her in the form of these images.
We went carefree. We went laughs. We went wild. We lived free!

It was a morning of joy, a cool experience with her I will remember for time to come.

Appreciating the moment.

Today while I was working, my friend next to me was “off duty,” but still helping us out. He was in such a better mood than any of us because he was “off duty.” The only difference was the fact that he chose to be there and I technically didn’t fully choose in that minute.

My mindset shifted for the rest of the day. I was choosing to enjoy the moment. I was choosing gratitude in the moment. Thankful for the moment of silence allowing me for peace. Thankful for the short conversation where my resident walked away with a smile. Thankful for the high five my coworker gave me. Thankful I was sitting in an air conditioned building.

Living in thanksgiving is how I was joyful in an otherwise “boring” environment.

Going to do a bit of an honest post.

Trying to figure out how this passion fits into my life is very confusing. One day, I know this is exactly what I am called to be doing and this is the way I know I can love the most intentionally. The other days I only see the ways I fail those who I am called to serve. I question my value in this space.

I stare at my work and only see the flaws. I glance at my friends and become jealous of their ability to pursue their dreams and it become reality, ignoring in my mind their struggles. I think about my goals and how slowly they come into fruition and disregarding the beauty of the growth I have been blessed with.

I share this in saying I question a lot, but I don’t question wanting to love you and thank you. I live in gratitude and that is the way I continue to step forward.

I just wanted to take a minute to share these pictures and give an update.

Life this past week has been beautiful yet tiring. I moved back to school and have been training for my new job here at school since Monday morning.

It feels new and young to be here again, but I also feel old and nostalgic. Coming back to an old life in a new way is weird and hard, but exciting.

I am excited to step back into my business this year in the new place of life I am in.

If you are in Marietta/Roswell and still want senior sessions, I will be making a list of dates I am returning home this weekend. Inquire asap about a date at home to get higher up on my email list! You could also consider driving out to a location in Athens! There will be more availability that way.

THIS NIGHT! The Lord was so evident in each moment. Maria swiped up on my story a few weeks ago and it led to this perfect night.

Isaac was only in town for one day that lined up when I was in town. It rained all around that day, just not on the day our session was happening. It was perfect, but humid,

I had really wanted to take pictures in a canoe, but Maria only had a kayak that was gross. When we got over to the dock, we saw this perfect, rusty canoe sitting over to the side. Being who we were, of course we had to borrow it.

The simplistic and natural love and conversation flowed through this evening. Conversations about the Lord and His workings are what filled the air as we continued shooting and capturing their story.

Sometimes I still think about these nights and just reminisce on the joy and the love present in moments like this. The fact that I was given this gift to spread love is one of the most intentional things. I am forever grateful - and grateful to you.
