This post is to inform everyone about the rescue pup that came 2 weeks ago . Her name is Bailey and wanted to share her story .
From what has been explained , she was in a loving home for about a year and then due to circumstances out of their control owner , had to be surrendered to . She was put in quarentine for days and after evaluation , was deemed not suitable to be in public and to be euthanized .
It was a post from the owner on that brought attention to this . Quickly , the call was answered and she was released with 2 hours to spare from being put down . Bailey was brought over and took some time to get acquainted to the neighborhood and is adjusting but has been thriving for the past 2 weeks .
From what it seems , Bailey was used as a breeder dog and abused . She is standoffish towards other dogs and guards herself but has opened up to being around my own dog . It took a couple of days but now all they do is play and sleep together .
With that being said , it would be preferable that Bailey is the only animal in the space with an experienced dog owner , that can continue her training and make her feel safe and have someone she trusts .
Bailey is a loyal dog and a quick learner . She already has learned sit , stay , down and even roll over . She’ll follow you around because she always wants to be included in everything you do , even while taking a shower . Bailey shows a calm demeanor when she feels safe with you . Walking Bailey , she’ll stay by your side but have moments where she pulls and lunges , which is natural and can be controlled with persistent training , which has been worked on everyday since she got here . She’s inquisitive of her surroundings and alert .
Bailey is a lap dog and just wants all the cuddles .
She got a second chance and deserves this life that was given to her and we want to make that happen .
