Let me start by saying I don’t necessarily “take photos” like I used to. However, I sometimes make an exception. I’ve known the Atterholts for a few years now and they asked me to picture a couple heifers for the upcoming sale at the Ohio Beef Expo. While there I also snagged a few candids, including this calf rocking his Kalf Kozie and Claire with the heifer she sells next month!

I joked with Seth recently that I am his personal PR manager. This is the second story I’ve gotten to write about the Ohio State ATI livestock judging team in the last six months or so. The team’s been out hitting the big contests after a year of growing and learning. It’s great to see a team back in place at my Alma mater. I wish it would have been there when I was in school!

I’m a “beef snob”, as my husband calls it. I have a hard time ordering steaks while out to dinner, when I know I can make an even better one at home. I’m choosy at the grocery store, spending probably too much time at the meat case.

I spent my first five and a half years of my career with Certified Angus Beef, where I learned so much about beef quality and humbly became a “beef snob” with every delicious bite I tried. The team there knows their stuff when it comes to selling, serving and marketing delicious beef!

This past summer I had the opportunity to talk to some of my old friends and coworkers at the brand for an assignment for the Angus Journal. Thank you to the team at Angus for giving me this opportunity to share about the brand’s international division! ✈️🥩

It's Christmas Eve, why am I sharing a post about mental health? Well, if I am being honest, this holiday season has felt really stressful. I have found myself feeling very flustered with all the things to do, the people to see, the presents to wrap. We don't have children, so I am not sure how parents are able to "do it all" every Christmas season! Kudos to you parents - especially the ones with the elves! LOL.

Farmers feel these mental pressures at various times throughout the year, and sometimes, unfortunately, fairly often. Mental health is still a topic that needs awareness in the agricultural space. I was glad to share the results of this groundbreaking survey and all the work being done here in our state around farmers' mental health for The Ohio Farmer magazine.

Mental health professionals are certified in Ohio to address the stigma surrounding mental health in the farming community.

I have been freelancing for Pannell Enterprises for almost two years now and I absolutely love being part of such a talented team! Today we launched a brand new website for Black Summit Cattle Company in Wyoming and it is a TOTAL upgrade! Just look at the difference!

It was a true TEAM EFFORT:
1. I had an initial phone call interview with the rancher to outline his website and to get the content for each page. I then wrote the outline for the site.

2. Kim, PE's awesome graphic designer, created a beautiful flat lay design for the rancher to proof prior to building it out. She utilized his intake form to best fit his brand standards and need.

3. Korina and Jacy, two website design gurus, built the website out after the design was approved.

4. Rancher was THRILLED with the design, so Jacy made it LIVE today!

It is so fun to work on these projects. I have loved getting to combine my marketing skills with projects for agricultural and ranching businesses.

I simply thrive in October. It is my favorite month. Thankful to be able to work from home on days like today. No walk to the water cooler for me, instead u took a quick lap in the woods.
