There’s something about the raw, unfiltered moments of youth that resonate with us all—timeless and beautiful.

It’s that quiet freedom, that simple joy of being in the moment, that we can all relate to.

In a world that’s always moving, it’s important to remember to make time to live freely, embrace what’s around us, and let the moment unfold.

This photo is my attempting to capture that fleeting yet everlasting beauty. ✨

This is the best one, I think. While this set of images is actively a part of my ongoing “Southern Gothic” series, it has given birth to another season of my experience as an artist, one that I am affectionately calling my “Gray Period”.

I have often preferred high-contrast imagery, but I have found over the last few years, I am particularly drawn to creating various shades of gray. I’m leaning into the textures to help express meaning, as opposed to starkness. Finding comfort in the in-between, a balance between black and white, is an acceptance and a grieving; a gray area.

I welcome your thoughts, as always, and thank you for your time.

This beautiful season of hibernation is winding down, and it’s been a very productive internal season for me. How about you?

Have you turned inward and found yourself making and creating this winter?

To me, one of the joys of this social media platform is the ability to curate my feed with all of your beautiful words and words of art.

When I find myself stalling, I can often pick up a book or listen to music that fuels my fire, and sometimes when I need something completely new, I draw inspiration from fellow artists on IG, with relish!

SO….continuing with my southern Gothic series, I have an excess of photography from this winter, let this be the first of many images I share with you from this special time.

as always, thank you for your time. 💖✨🫶🏼
