Hey friends 🤍

I've been doing a lot of refining behind the scenes lately, and I realized that the heart of The Hygge House-the slower, more intentional, story-driven videos—really belongs on YouTube. That's where I feel most at home creating them, and where they can be what they're meant to be.

I still intend to post simple reels on this page as they come naturally, but this is my passion project and I wanted to give it the proper time, attention, and place to live.

I’ve found myself over doing it, trying to do so much for The Hygge House (some of which I have not shared), and I’ve realized that in doing that I’m removing all of the natural hygge moments in my life and replacing them with stress.

I’m now allowing myself to really let my creativity flow and film what feels good, without pressure- while truly living in this stage of my life with three young kids.

Yesterday, I took some time to myself to go explore outside. I love doing macro photography. It is one of the few things I do where my mind isn’t thinking about 100 different things at once- because you have to focus intently on the tiny thing in front of you.

It doesn’t have to be macro… but I wholeheartedly recommend getting outside with the intention of finding the small things you normally wouldn’t notice. It’s a great way to be present and calm your mind 🤍

Because it was. It was incredibly yummy… trust me I know, I ate most of it.

Anyone that knows me knows I make pretty much everything from scratch. I love being in the kitchen and I love controlling what ingredients are in our food… but sometimes boxed mix is the best decision. Today it was.

Because why only play-doh?

Kids play in a play kitchen, play with play dough, play pretend everything- so why not let them do the real thing every now and then?

Was it a mess? Absolutely. But it was so worth it to see them so happy and so proud of their creations 🤍
