Is it just me, or does posting on social media feel illegal when you’re buried in edits? 😅

Hi! Is me, I still exist! And I’m coming up for air. Ready to see what I’ve been working on?
I am also going to be sharing a bit in my stories. Nothing crazy, just a bit of behind the scenes while having a little fun living life.

How about this little teaser! My latest work delivered for Ashley and Daniel.

More to come as I keep sharing in reverse from my latest to older recent work...it's been such a pleasure 😊❤️

When love meets the sunset, with a surprise that turns into forever.

There’s something magical about mountain sunsets... when the sky gets painted into beautiful hues of color and the air carries that first whisper of autumn.

Today marks the last post in my 24-day count to fall. When I chose to highlight spring and summer, I didn’t plan how I would close this little journey. As I reflect, I realized those very seasons I’ve been sharing were also some of the hardest I’ve ever walked through.

Whispers of Hope... inspired by

Green, the color of renewal and fresh beginnings.

Persuasion by Jane Austen, with its theme of patience and enduring love, is finally rewarded.

Knitting, each stitch a quiet whisper that builds into something lasting.

And in many ways, that’s been my own story these past months. It’s been so hard, but also full of quiet gifts. I’m thankful for my faith and the word of God, for great books and beautiful literature, for the handcrafting skills I’ve been blessed with, for my husband and family, and for the joy that photography, and my photography business, has brought me in the midst of it all.

So here’s to fall, to endings that bring new beginnings and to hope, even when whispered, never being lost.

Thank you so much for your sweet and kind support. Sending hugs and love.
Stay tuned for a beautiful sunset proposal coming up later today 🧡💍
P.S. I don’t usually name my hand-knits, but this one felt special enough to have a name, for me, or for the person it may someday wrap in warmth.

Candid moments like these are everything. Dancing, smiling, a little embarrassed… and all pure joy. Grandma stole the show, and everyone Ioved every second! Me included. Grandma was delightful, I could feel how much she is loved.

Linville Gorge is always stunning, but here’s a funny story for you… Last spring I signed up for a WNC photo tour without paying much attention to the locations we would be hiking. Imagine my surprise (and my hubby's) when I realized during the hike that the hikes were ones we had been saving to do together. 🙈 Yep, he was not too happy with me. I felt so guilty I could hardly talk about how much I enjoyed it.

Day 15 of my countdown to fall🍂

Fast forward to this past spring, and we finally went back together. We packed a little picnic, sat with that beautiful view, and this time I could fully enjoy it...because hubby was with me. All was right with the world again… or at least, almost. 😉

The first photo is from this past spring in late afternoon, the second is from last year's spring at sunset, and I had to include a couple of us together there. Two seasons, three views, one special place.

Engagement sessions during golden hours always feel a little extra memorable.

Can you believe it’s Day 15 of my countdown to fall?! I think I might actually be a day or two behind… but don’t tell anyone, I’m planning to sneak in a double post sometime. Shh! 😉

These two love birds are so in love it was impossible not to smile behind the camera.

…And of course, we had to end the evening with a little magic because what’s more romantic than a dip in front of the Biltmore, especially as it looked in that movement?

Congratulations!! Libby & Ed 🤍🤍

Day 13 of my countdown to fall 🍁

Aren’t family silhouettes the cutest? This sweet crew of five and I had the best time together, three kiddos running, laughing, and soaking up the spring blooms before the sun slipped away. 🌸

I love how silhouettes capture connection in the simplest, most timeless way.

It's been a joy highlighting some of my spring and summer photography work that I may or may not have shared previously. Thanks for all the kindness 😊❤️

Day 12 of my countdown to fall 🍁
The photo from the reel 🧡

A little moment from New York City, I watched the sunset, silhouetting the buildings, and even the people walking along the sidewalks. It was a beautiful scene to me of the busy city.

I thought maybe I could capture something clean enough to do the view justice, but before I even reached for my camera, I caught myself just watching.

Sometimes, I wonder what makes me a photographer? whatever that means. But then I find myself framing images in my mind before I even bring the camera to my eyes. Maybe that’s part of what makes me one.

I love photography ♥️📸

Have an amazing evening 😊

Day 11 of my 24-day countdown to fall featuring my photography from spring and summer!

The curtains hadn’t been closed before going to bed, and I woke to soft colors spilling through the window, framed by the silhouette of the trees (2nd photo). I couldn’t stay in bed, the sky with its colors was surely calling me, and we had to head down to the beach. And wow… it was so worth it, especially since we were just a short boardwalk away. Why wouldn't we?

Just now, as i am writing this, I am reminded of a sunset in Boise, Idaho, about 5 years years ago… I was cooking dinner (making chili) in our little rental when the sky started teasing me. The sky kept getting more and more inviting. I told everyone we had to go outside... We all rushed outside, and the sky was on fire! It was one of the most beautiful sunsets we've ve ever watched. Now I’m going to look through my photos and find it.

Some skies... whether in Boise, SC, or anywhere in between, are simply worth chasing.

Day 10 of my 24 day countdown to fall! Each day until Sept 22, I’m sharing some of my photography work from spring and summer session and weddings (along with a few nature landscapes) as we soak up the last golden days of the season.

Not every photo needs a reason... This session was all about being creative and having fun. 🌿

So often, people don’t take the time to invest in a portrait just for themselves. It doesn’t have to be bo***ir, and it doesn’t need a special occasion, sometimes it’s simply about celebrating who you are right now.

You deserve to be seen in a beautiful, creative way.

When was the last time you had a portrait taken just for you?
