Occasionally, I have the joy of being hired by people from my past. Chante and I have known each other since we were children, like I'm talking 1st grade. It always touches a special part of my heart to be able to witness and photograph my clients, but when it's someone that I've known and have a relationship with, it's even more special.

This was my first time shooting anything on film. And honestly, the second the scans came in, I immediately understood the obsession.

There's something so different about capturing one specific moment in a single shot, vs having 10 nearly identical digital images to pick between. It feels kind of magical. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the pros of digital photography. But this older art feels like magic.
