I highly recommend this book for any dog parent. And if you know of someone who has added a new puppy or dog to their family, this book will make a great gift for them. It's filled with advice any dog parent will benefit from. They cover many topics from loose leash walking to potty training, it's all in there. The book teaches you positive reinforcement techniques to use with your dog to enhance your relationship.

Today is International Day of Veterinary Medicine. I'd like to thank the incredible people who help me with Lili and those who helped with Lance.
We have an incredible vet and her staff. We go to Franklin Farm Veterinary clinic and see Dr. Phillips. It took us a few tries to find the right vet for us, but Franklin Farm has been our vet for the past few years and they work to ensure Lili has a positive experience when she goes there. https://franklinfarmvet.com

Kirsty Oliver is Lili's rehab person and Lili loves her! She also was great working with Lance, who did not like vet staff at all.

Dr. Weber at Pender vet is Lili's rehab Dr. and even though she is newer to Lili's team, she is a great asset to the team. https://www.pendervet.com/locations/fairfax-campus

Lili sees Dr. Birnbaum at MedVet for her IBD. She treats Lili so kindly and explained everything to us about Lili's condition and how she is doing. https://www.medvet.com/location/northern-virginia/

Jessey Scheip was Lance's behavioral nurse and Lancy absolutely loved her! She was one of the few vet people Lance really loved seeing. https://www.mindfulmentorbehavior.com

And finally, I cannot say enough good things about Animal Behavior Wellness Center. Dr. Pike and her team (Courtney, we love you!) always treated Lance with respect and they were a tremendous resource to us for seven years. It isn't always easy living with a dog with behavior issues, but they were there for us whenever we needed them.

Thank you to all the incredible vets and their staff who keep Lili safe and healthy.

Our veterinarians at Franklin Farm Veterinary Clinic in Herndon, VA use a Fear Free Approach with all dogs & cats. Call our animal hospital today!

It’s National Mutt Day!!!!!!
This beautiful mutt started it all for me. She was this little creature who chose us to be her people. She changed my life for the better. She has always been the sunshine in my life and I’m thankful for each day with her.
When you look for a four legged creature to add to your family, consider the super mutts like Lili. She was the dog I needed in my life and she has brought me joy, happiness, and laughter every day.

Baxter and Hazel got an early start on their holiday photos this year. Their treat filled session was full of laughs as Baxter showed Hazel how to model.

If you’d like to join us on November 29th or December 6, send me a DM or go to lanceandlili.com/minisessions to learn more and to sign up for your holiday photo session.

If you ever feel like one person can’t make a change, remember Poptart. When Poptart’s family decided to move to PG County, they were told Poptart wasn’t welcome because she looked like a pit bull. Poptart’s family fought to keep their dear girl with them and had to prove she wasn’t a pit bull. That spurred Poptart’s mom to fight to change things in PG County. She found others who believed things needed to change and they founded . They worked with community leaders, council members, those involved with animal welfare, and others to work to repeal the breed ban in PG county.
Today, their efforts were rewarded and CB-097 was passed in Prince George’s County!!! The bill changes the animal control code, putting accountability on pet owners and not a specific breed. The breed ban in PG County has been lifted!! Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
Remember, you can be the change around you.
