Pangot is a small town located a about 17Km North of Nainital, a popular tourist destination. Taking the Kilbury forest road, just before entering Nainital, one quickly leaves to cacophony of the cars and tourists behind to reach this serene village, which is a paradise for birdwatchers. This was a phototrip with our mentors from Nikon, who were starting out on their own and this was their first trip. So, a few of us decided that we must support their work and registered for the trip. The flight from Delhi to Bagdogra was routine and there were twenty participants in all. Our vehicles were waiting for us at the airport and we headed out for our first stop, Phuentsholing, which is about 170 Km (4 hours) from Bagdogra. [ 801 more words ]

Twang Twang Twang - that was the war cry in my mind, before we started our trip to one of the most picturesque states of India, Arunachal Pradesh. Four friends, 1200 KM, 7 days and a roller coaster trip from Jungles to snowcapped mountains of India’s border with China.
