When the boy stepped out of the car I about fell over. He sprouted 6 inches in one year and is every bit the teenager his age defined. Like, I couldn't help but stare for a bit - I first met him when I just started newborn photography - he was one of my first newborns after I started this biz. I'm entirely grateful that his parents trusted me back then and continue to do so year after year (and for our mutual friend, Amanda, for the intro)

I'm finally getting around to updating these socials! This family season was tamer (on purpose) but still so much fun! We had one round of studio mini sessions and one round of outdoor mini's. The indoor location was a dream! Amazing light, welcoming space and best yet - we didn't have to worry about cold and rain!

I'm considering repeating for next year - stay tuned!

I first met her family at a mini session 6 or so years ago (maybe more?) and subsequently did both of her older brothers senior portraits so when mom reached out for these I was super excited. Then she said there'd be horses! Swooon!

I promise there were just as many non-horsesy shots as there were horse shots but I just love them all so much, it was hard to pick.

Thank you to for all your help, your beautiful property and lovely horses. They had such fun personalities and were so well behaved:)

It's been quiet aroun these parts. I needed a break. Too many irons and too many fires. I needed to slow down and refocus. I pulled the camera back out a couple months back for a newborn and then a family trip and now, for this beautiful 13-year-old who reminds me why I did this in the first place.

The fall is coming and I'm still figuring out my schedule and if i'm going to hold minis. I swear every year that I'm not going to do it but then cave, because I miss everybody and there aren't enough days in the fall to fit it all:) So, stay tuned. I will figure it out by the end of the month.

This one committed to her first choice of College of Charleston in an early decision. I told the mom we could photo shop out the logo if it didn't work but wasn't worried. She's smart and kind and a value to any school that would choose her. Congrats Addie!

Like I said, I had a mix this year including a bunch of high school seniors! It blows my mind that these kids are this old. This dude was 5 standing on my front porch asking my kids to play. He was part of the OG crew in our neighborhood and is still one of my son's best buds. It's going to be weird next year without him around!

Now that the last gallery is out the door and we're into the last two weeks of the year, I finally have some time to share all the goodness from this fall! We had families, seniors, maternity, newborns, even horses!

I'm looking forward to 2025 and all that it brings and will remind folks - family portraits are awesome in the spring and summer too:) (I shot more in the last two months than I did the entire rest of the year haha)
