A picture is worth way more than just 1,000 words. A picture is more than the words it produces. The beauty about photography is being able to capture a moment and preserve it forever. I first fell in love with photography when I bought myself my first point and shoot camera in college. I loved the idea of being able to freeze a moment in time and always being able to revisit it no matter how old.

I love the fact that the human eye holds so many stories good and bad. To be able to look into someone's eyes and see what they've seen and portray what you see as the photographer on a photo. I'm a Photographer based out of the Northern Virginia area specializing in portrait photography. Ive been blessed with the opportunity to photograph newborns, children, weddings, pregnancies, couples, real estate, music artists and many different occasions and different settings. Photos that aren't posed but capture you just being you ! The type of photos I love to take are those that are deep, full of love and emotion and that show you for who you really are. Whether it be at my studio in Virginia or outside on location. I specialize in photo editing and retouching using Adobe Photoshop CS6 on a Mac OS. Every shoot is private and personal and will not be shared with anyone else unless you give me permission to do so. I photograph by profession and every single shoot is a new adventure and a new lesson. When I take a photo of you I capture your dreams, your thoughts, your wants and desires. We all have a story to tell and my job is tell your story through photo. I'd love to sit here and tell you more about me but I'd rather show you more about me through my work, so please enjoy.

Quiet Moments: Vulnerability

I love these type of moments in the back room where the fighters warm up. The quiet moments where you get to see them with themselves like in this clip. You get a chance to see the lock in and the focus before their fight and it’s one of my favorite things to capture.

These rooms are always crazy and I don’t always get a moment to get back there but it’s always something to cool catch when I do. Win or lose it takes guts to step inside a cage or a ring as a fighter. It takes guts to be vulnerable.

💪🏼🦸🏻‍♀️ Meet Caren Plummer, a DMV area yoga instructor, fitness expert, community builder, and boxer.

Caren has always been dedicated to the service of others and is very active in building communities throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area. She regularly teach classes at Equinox, and has her own yoga business, cp:yoga. Last year, she raised money for the Fight Against Cancer and Haymakers for Hope by boxing in the Beltway Brawl III.

First time meeting this crew and this is first shot I took of this team as a group.

Working with this team this past summer was amazing.
Not only did I gain some new friends and connections, I was able to be experience working with folks who are absolutely obsessed with boxing and training🥊. And you don’t have to hear them say that to know it’s true.

You see it feel it when you watch them do pad work.
You see it feel it when they’re coaching someone.
You see it feel it when they smile big after a student has mastered a certain drill 🔥

I’ve caught myself saying “GAH damn” from behind my camera multiple times because yeah it’s amazing.

This is probably my favorite shot of them i’ve taken as a team and I’m definitely going to have this one printed.
That badassery cannot be faked! It’s real!! 🙏🏾
