"Sunset at Friendship Bogs" - last Thursday's sunset was, like most of the ones we've had over the last few weeks, pretty epic especially over this abandoned cranberry bog at Friendship in Wharton State Forest. When the bogs were still in use this would have been a square-ish shallow pond, but in the decades since they've been abandoned grasses and even some trees have taken over and now you can even see the original channel of the Shane Branch of the Tulpehocken Creek that was once dammed to flood the bogs.
