Sometimes you have to lose yourself a little to find who you really are again.

Life gets rough. It pulls, it crashes, it reshapes you, just like the waves against these rocks. But there’s something honest in that. Something real.

🤪🤬WHAT IS MY PROBLEM? 🤷‍♂️🤬 I live so close to the dunes and never go shoot at the dunes. Seriously so many amazing Possibilities.

If you do see me out taking pictures on any given night I walk around like a dog looking for a place to take a p**s (sorry it’s true). I know every other photographer is exactly the same way. Maybe that’s why I love dogs so much.

Avila’s weather could be sunny and warm when it’s cold and overcast in Pismo. Nothing beats having a cold drink .ricksbar or having dinner

It’s King Tides again this week. This was taken last year December 10th at Montana De Oro. I had never heard the ocean so loud as I did that day.

A little information about King Tides Below:

A king tide is a non-scientific term used to describe the predicted highest high-tide and lowest low-tide events of the year. King tides occur during a perigean (when Moon is closest to Earth) spring tide (full and new moon); in other words, a full or new moon must co-occur when the Moon is closest to Earth in its elliptical orbit. Due to their astronomical nature, king tides are regular and predictable events, reoccurring multiple times a year

finally got away from the Pismo Pier last week and found this spot. As a photographer I am always putting myself in awkward situations. For this shot I walked down the cliff (in my flips) and perched myself on a rock. I’ll be going back to this spot as this isn’t exactly what I wanted but I still like it. What do you think?
