Rainy days are the best 🌧️

As a desert girl living in MD, I love experiencing the rain and seasons, even though people thought I wouldn't adapt. 🙃 The proximity to DC is such a bonus, there's always something new to explore and the architecture is stunning!

I tried something new here, I used a plastic bag around my lens for protection during my shoot with Karrina, but in these shots I pushed into the frame more. It was fun shooting/editing with a different artistic vibe. 👻

It’s almost been 4 months living in Maryland and I have to say I love it here! It’s absolutely stunning driving between towns (I even have a favorite road to drive to and from Annapolis). We love being a quick train ride to DC and exploring the Capitol. The ability to truly see the stars at night is amazing 🤩

While I miss our family and friends, I feel blessed to be able to explore a new state and provide my son with different experiences and historical education opportunities.

I hope everyone enjoys their holiday with loved ones! 🫶

Las Vegas is the city where I:
-  grew up riding my go cart in the desert to get slurpees & 🍫 🍭
-  learned to head bang to rock music on the way to and from many Lake Mead trips
-  attended a Blue Ribbon high school where we embraced our nerdiness
-  interned with LVMPD (road in SWAT, listened to 911 calls, learned how to shoot)
-  graduated from college
-  found my voice and passions
-  made incredible friendships 
-  found a pageant family and awarded scholarships as an MAO local director
-  worked at the amazing RMHC serving families
-  served pizza to cool celebrities and met my husband all under the same roof
-  gave birth to my mini me (personality not looks 😆)

Las Vegas is the city I’ve called home for 34 years but I’m excited to say Maryland is home now! 🏡

We are just 40min from DC (what?!) and a train ride to NYC. There is going to be so much to explore out here!

POV: doing a photoshoot with on a hot Vegas day, not knowing it will be your last photoshoot in Vegas 😮

My family and I are moving across the country to Maryland! We’ll be 40min outside of DC 🥳

While I’m no longer shooting pageant photography, I want to thank everyone who has been in front of my camera over the years. It’s been a pleasure playing a small role in your pageant journey, hyping you up, and cheering you on. Some of you have become good friends and family and I’m so grateful for that. 🫶

When things settle down I may still continue photography on a small scale for on location shoots (families, engagements, grads).

PS I’ve competed, judged, directed, sponsored, and been a vendor. Pageant land has always been in my life so I’m sure I’ll be back to some degree 😉
