In a weird coincidence, two entirely different 17mm f/4 tilt-shift lenses launched this week. If you shoot real estate or architecture, having native mirrorless options is a welcome upgrade over adapting heavy DSLR glass. The TTartisan is a fantastic, accessible way to experiment with optical perspective correction. But the Laowa is the one I'm most eager to try.

If you shoot commercial drone work, the stitching phase for spherical video is a massive operational bottleneck. DJI is launching the Avata 360 later this month, which captures native 8K and completely eliminates the need to manually stitch clips in post-production. A huge win for getting hours back at the desk.

DJI has confirmed the Avata 360 launch event for March 26, 2026, at 12 PM GMT. The world’s first native 360° FPV cinewhoop promises 8K spherical video, tiltable FPV camera, and OIS.

Lightroom Classic gets a culling upgrade. The upgraded Assisted Culling tool now automatically detects and flags closed eyes in group shots, which is a massive time-saver for high-volume event and wedding work. It also finally adds native support for WebP files.

Canon's weird, wonderful analog concept camera. At the recent CP+ show, Canon showed off a wild "Analog Concept Camera" featuring a waist-level optical viewfinder, strictly manual focus, and a 6MP sensor. Think Yashica or Rollei. Looks fun!
