As a photographer during this time, opportunities for photography “gigs” are basically extinct. Especially for someone like myself who does quite a bit of sports photography...there isn’t a single sport being played.

So what is a photographer supposed to do when we’re not supposed to have interaction with people outside of our own home? This is where the comes into play.

The basis behind this project is for a photographer to capture families in front of their homes during these trying times with zero interaction less than the social distancing guidelines. In most cases, the photographer could easily be 10-20 feet away from the family they are capturing. The family decides how they want to “pose” for the shoot. They can get dressed up like they would for a formal photo shoot, put costumes on, use props, practically anything goes!

There is NO fee for the photos or the shoot! Photos of your family will be provided to you via email. Families are encouraged to make a donation to a local charity to assist with their COVID-19 efforts.

If you are in the Arlington Heights, IL area (including surrounding cities) and you’d like to get your family picture taken “on your front porch”, please get in contact with me to setup a photo shoot.

This past Saturday I had an opportunity to head to Iowa City, IA to take pictures of the Middle Tennessee State vs Iowa D1 game. It was a blast and so much different than what I’m used to at the high school level. I can’t wait to do it again!!
