You've spent years becoming the person you are.
Your image should reflect that — not a performance of professionalism, but the actual version of you that shows up and gets things done.

Nashville taught me to photograph people who mean it.

The stage, the instrument, the room — none of it is casual.
I carry that into every executive session I shoot.

The best sessions aren't the most controlled ones.
They're the ones where you stopped managing the outcome and let something real happen.
That's where your best portrait lives.

Black and white is honest — it can't lean on a great background or a nice color palette to do the work.

The person has to carry the frame. And the right person always does.

Some sessions need quiet light and clean lines.
Others need color, character, and the kind of energy that doesn't sit still.

Both are portraits — both can be right, depending on who you are.

I shot this recently. Grapevine at night has an energy all its own.

When the location is right, something happens — the subject stops posing and starts existing in the space.

That's the frame worth making.

The environment is never just a backdrop. This was shot against an army parachute — not because it was convenient, but because it said something.

The right context always does.

Your visual identity travels ahead of you into every room — before you say a word, before anyone hears your work.

Nashville artists figured this out fast.
Executives are navigating the same challenge now.

Your image should feel like you — not a version of you that's been dressed up for a camera.
When it does, you use it everywhere. When it doesn't, you avoid it.

I moved from Nashville to Argyle, Texas in 2017.
Different world. Different client. Different brief.

In Nashville the question was: how do we make this artist impossible to ignore?
In DFW the question is: how do we make this executive impossible to overlook?

Different wording. Same problem. Same tools — light, composition, patience. Finding the version of this person that the camera responds to. Then getting out of the way.
