What a good feeling it is to have to restock my photos at Gallery at Canon Coffee! 📸☕️

My latest order has arrived, and I can’t wait to fill Canon with some fresh pieces. My newest additions are now available for sale!

After last night, I am overwhelmed with love, encouragement, and appreciation. ❤️ I sold six canvases, including one that wasn’t even on display! And just as I expected, my best seller was “A Cardinal Courtship.” ❤️🐦

My photography will remain on display through May and June and is available for purchase. Purchased canvases may be taken right off the wall and brought home immediately.

OH MY LAWD… my heart is so full tonight. ❤️

Thank you so much to all of my friends, family, and supporters who came out and surprised me at my gallery opening tonight. Seeing so many familiar faces walk through those doors truly meant more to me than words can express. There were definitely a few wonderful surprises that made the evening extra special.

If you weren’t able to make it tonight, that’s completely okay! My photography will be on display throughout the entire months of May and June, so there’s still plenty of time to stop by. Come enjoy a cup of coffee, breakfast, lunch, or a sandwich, mingle a little, and take in all of the beautiful artwork and photography from our talented local photographers on display.

OH MY LAWD!

It looks like feeding-time chaos mixed with a landing scramble. The large bird is a great egret, and the smaller white birds are snowy egrets. The great egret was likely flying in to grab a good fishing spot, while the snowy egrets were already hunting in the shallow water.
Egrets can get surprisingly territorial when food is around, so there’s often wing flapping, hopping, chasing, and dramatic landings like this. The big guy probably swooped in a little too close, and everybody had opinions about it.
Basically… bird traffic jam at the seafood buffet.

This softshell turtle rose up out of the swamp like, “If I don’t move… maybe the lady with the camera will leave.”
Sir… your eyeballs are literally staring into my soul.

Two beautiful white herons standing together in the marsh… and when I looked through my lens, I realized they formed the shape of a heart. ✨
Just a quiet little reminder from nature that love is everywhere if you slow down long enough to see it. 🖤 — at Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive.

It’s been a good long while since I’ve been to my favorite coffee spot… and walking in to see my work on display honestly made my whole day. ☕️🖤

OH MY LAWD!

Today I did something a little different — I gave myself an assignment.
The focus? Birds in flight (and birds in general) — one of the most challenging subjects in photography.

I know a tripod will help reduce shakiness next time, but learning doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. It happens in the moment — frame by frame. And honestly? Not too shabby for a first go.

Bonus surprise: I even managed to capture what I believe is a water-banded snake along the way — proof that staying observant pays off. 🐍📸

Self-education is about trying, adjusting, and growing. I’m learning, and I’m loving how these are turning out.

Progress over perfection. Always learning.
