Good Monday morning all you beautiful souls! Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. Just busy living life. I recently realized the last thing I posted was back in August of last year. Wow! I'm still out taking photos though and I'm going to jump back in with sharing some, as you may guess, snow photos! This snow lover has thoroughly enjoyed all these snow events with the most recent snow excursion taking us to the coast of NC and the beautiful town of Beaufort. While the hubby and I had already been enjoying some beautiful snow days at our cozy little farmhouse in the VA mountains, (more about the farmhouse adventure later) and after perusing the weather forecast for best snow potential, we decided to head to the coast. So last Friday, a week ago, we packed up, left VA and headed to the beach. We stopped off at home to gather up some extra supplies and off we went. A few hours later which included a stop for supper as well as the Piggly Wiggly grocery store, we arrived at the Inlet Inn and settled in waiting for the snow. These first few photos were taken Saturday morning from our 1st floor porch looking across front street towards the boat docks. Since Facebook won't allow photos and videos to be posted at the same time, I'll be sharing a quick video from our travels to Beaufort later. Hope everyone in the path of the snow and ice faired well and hope all y'all have a most wonderful day!

Wednesday greetings! I managed to snap some close-up shots of this beautiful Monarch butterfly enjoying the milkweed in our garden. The Milkweed plant is the only plant that Monarchs lay their eggs on and the only plant they eat as caterpillars. So, if you want to see more Monarchs around your yard you need to plant some Milkweed. Not only will you be bringing these beauties to your garden, but you will be providing a much-needed boost to their food resource and help their declining population thrive. I wasn't planning to do any more moon photos on Saturday but it was too beautiful to ignore. Although the Sturgeon Moon was waning, it was still a mostly full moon so I couldn't resist getting in some more shots. With that I thought one shot of the moon rising would be enough, but later on that night I noticed fog starting to creep down the hill and couldn't resist the opportunity to capture those foggy hills lit up with the moon. I also had a little fun with the long exposure and passing cars. Enjoy and I hope y'all have a peaceful nights rest!
