Sapphire Sky came all the way from California to perform for Tony and Susie’s 10 year wedding anniversary at the Desert Botanical Garden, but this wasn’t their first time celebrating with them. They performed at their wedding 10 years ago, at the very same place.

They sounded incredible and brought so much energy to the night. Everyone was dancing, singing along, and having the best time. Such a fun full circle way to celebrate 10 years of marriage!

Last weekend we celebrated my sister Natali’s bridal shower back home in good ol’ Glenview 🥹

Even though we live in Arizona now, Chicago will always feel like home. It’s where so much of our family and so many of our lifelong friends are, so getting to celebrate this season of her life surrounded by the women who love her was really special 💗

The afternoon was filled with games, sweet words from family and friends, scripture readings, lots of food and, of course, plenty of celebrating. Later, Sam surprised Natali with flowers and joined us with his family, which quickly turned into Assyrian music, dancing and everyone on their feet.

Such a beautiful day celebrating my sister and everything ahead for her and Sam!

A horseback ride through the Arizona desert with a pretty incredible surprise waiting at the end 🐎

Bailey & Connor came from California to Arizona to visit their friends, and what Bailey thought was just a horseback ride together at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch had a much bigger surprise planned.

I joined the ride undercover, blending in with the group so Bailey had no idea I was really there to photograph her proposal. After riding through the desert, we stopped at the perfect spot and Connor got down on one knee 💍

She was completely surprised, and getting to capture the whole thing from beginning to end made this such a fun proposal to photograph.

With a new website, a new chapter of my business, and a lot of new faces around here, I figured it was time for a proper introduction!

I’m Stephney, the photographer behind Stephney Martin Photography. I started my business in Chicago over 10 years ago, photographing weddings, couples, and families throughout the city and beyond. Today, I’m based in Arizona, photographing weddings throughout the state while continuing to travel across the country for destination celebrations.

When I moved to Arizona four years ago, I thought I would jump right into building my business and becoming part of the wedding community here. Life had some very different plans. My health became my priority, and in 2024, I received a heart transplant.

That experience changed the timeline I had imagined for myself and my business, but it also changed the way I look at the moments we get to experience. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been building this next chapter, meeting incredible Arizona vendors, photographing celebrations throughout the state, and continuing to travel for weddings in places that have always inspired me.

It’s also a big part of why being present on your wedding day matters so much to me.

Of course I want you to have beautiful photographs. But I also want you to experience your wedding. Have the cocktail. Hug your family. Eat your dinner. Get on the dance floor. Take in the view. Be with the people who came to celebrate you.

I’ll guide you when you need it, step in when something needs to happen, and create incredible photographs without making your entire wedding day revolve around the camera.

Whether your wedding brings me somewhere in Arizona or across the country, my approach stays the same giving you the space to enjoy the day while thoughtfully documenting the people, places, and moments that make it yours.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually traveling, planning my next adventure, exploring somewhere new, or spending time with my husband, family, and friends.

A new look and a new chapter for Stephney Martin Photography ✨

After a lot of work behind the scenes, my new website and branding are officially live!

I wanted this next chapter of my business to feel more like me and the experience I want to give my couples: warm, intentional, relaxed, and centered around being fully present for the moments that matter.

The new site also feels like a better reflection of where my business is today, photographing weddings here in Arizona while continuing to travel across the country for destination celebrations.

Along with the new look, there are a few exciting things happening for my Arizona couples! I’ve partnered with talented local videographers to now offer photography and videography together for Arizona weddings, making it easier for couples who want both to book everything through one simple process.

I’m also celebrating the launch with a special offer for 2027 Arizona weddings, with some pretty amazing extras included in my Arizona wedding collections 💄🙆🏻‍♀️🎥

I’ll also be sharing more on the blog, from real weddings and beautiful venues to helpful planning tips and inspiration along the way.
