I am excited to share a unique opportunity for promoting literacy and creativity in the classroom. Student Treasures offers teachers a free kit and hardcover book in exchange for creating a student-authored book. My class is currently engaged in this project, with each student taking turns bringing home a stuffed Highland Cow named Buttercup for three days. During this time, parents are encouraged to journal and take photos of their child's adventures with Buttercup. These experiences will be compiled into a keepsake book. Our classroom will receive a complimentary copy, and parents, my co-lead, and I will have the option to purchase additional copies. This project serves as an excellent teaching tool for illustrating the process of writing and publishing books. We have just sent Buttercup home with our first student.

In October 2020, our Illinois fall began with a thoughtful gift from neighbor Linda - a tiny maple sapling with one delicate leaf. One year out it was still tiny with only 10 leaves and now four years later, its remarkable growth inspires me. It's already surpassing my height, a reminder that small beginnings can yield extraordinary outcomes.

I'm forever grateful for this incredible action shot of a coach and gymnast, capturing the essence of their bond that I took several years ago. I look forward to more opportunities in the future to photograph the beauty and strength of dancers and gymnasts. I miss doing sports and event photography so much!!

I had a request to make firetruck booties so I excitedly took on the challenge. These are super fun and I can make them in red, pink, baby blue or any other color by request.
