One of my first ever shots of the Milky Way came up in my memories today, from one year ago, to be exact. This photo is of the second night I ever got the Milky Way. That, of course, was taken with my iPhone 13 using night mode & a tripod.... I want to compare that to a shot I got 2 nights ago (because I haven’t edited last night’s shots yet), using my actual camera & a tripod, & having several months experience finding & recognizing the Milky Way (technically a year, but it’s out of our view most of the winter months).
so, here’s the one from a year ago yesterday & then the next one I took Thursday night.

I am so so so happy with how much I’ve improved, & that I finally got a camera. I can’t even explain how much I enjoy astrophotography.. how much I love being out under the stars as much as I can be.. & the rate that I see so many different types of meteors, most nights, just makes my soul so happy... I will never regret getting into this.
