Flying drones has always been one of my favorite aspects of filming videos. It allows me to tell stories from angles that would otherwise be impossible. Saving the bay one Blue Catfish at a time.🎣🐱

Blue catfish are an invasive species in the Chesapeake bay. Last week marked the beginning of this year’s “blue catfish season”. I went out with and to document the process of removing these dangerous fish from our bay.

In Jay’s words “we are doing our part to make a very small dent in the population and raise awareness. These blue catfish currently pose a significant ecological threat to native fish, crabs and shellfish in the Chesapeake - they eat everything. All of the fish that we caught were bigger than 20 pounds - a testament to the fact they aren’t picky eaters…and remember these invasives are Malicious but Delicious”.
