One of the greatest honors of this work is being invited into people’s lives to document their most meaningful moments. I’ve witnessed life begin and I’ve been present in its final chapters. I’ve celebrated joy, stood still in grief, and held space for all the in-between. It’s something I never take for granted.

Photographing RJ, JJ, and sweet Emeric was one of those unforgettable moments. RJ and JJ waited with open hearts and so much hope to become dads—and when the call came, they had just eight days to prepare for Baby E’s arrival. From the moment I stepped into their home, I could feel it: the love, the joy, the rightness of it all.

These photos were taken six months ago, but today, I can finally share them because on July 28th, Emeric’s adoption became official.

RJ and JJ—thank you for trusting me to witness and document this chapter of your story. It has been the deepest privilege, and I cannot wait to watch your beautiful family grow.
