Mr. Rogers (one of my all time favorite human beings) once said, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people helping." I have been trying to figure out what I can do to help and give back to a community that courses through my veins and won my heart as a young adult. I spent 2 summers during college at the Green River Preserve in Cedar Mountain, NC, which lead me to living full time in Brevard, NC for 2 years while working at Brevard College. The people of Western NC are some of the most beautiful folks in this world and while our life on the "outside" is going full-tilt, they are still deep in recovery efforts from Hurricane Helene. My sister still does not have potable water at her home, and this is only a minor inconvenience compared to others in her community.
From now until the end of 2024, I am going to donate 40% of my profits from my Fine Art Photography sales as well as any booked and completed photography session/event and the prints and merchandise purchased in association with my client's private galleries to the continued recovery relief efforts in Western NC. I hope you consider making a purchase from my small business. My plan is to add new photos on a regular basis to my collections, so if you do not see something today that resonates with you, please stop back by at a later date.
