Instead of overthinking everything (lol) and ultimately sharing zero photos on here, I decided I would like to start sharing some of my film simulation photos. These will include snaps from my everyday personal life as well as from my regular shoots!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do 🌊

What are your thoughts on me sharing more personal things on here? Are we into it? Or not so much 🤨

🌴 I shared this thought on my story last week and had the best responses in my inbox. Just had to make it a post as well. Sounds like SO many fellow mamas can relate - makes me feel less crazy in my own head haha!

🌴Here is a summary of what I had said:

*I was reflecting recently and just thinking about more of my day-to-day as a stay at home mom and small business owner. I was thinking about how when the weekends come around and we get together with people and they ask “what did you do this week” my answer always just naturally comes out as “not much”. Then i think to myself “wow that was really discounting everything I did” because i did a million things and I kept a small human alive - but still the words that come out of my mouth typically are “oh not too much” meanwhile I’m over here exhausted trying to run a business and care for my son and give him the best childhood I can. Can any other moms relate to this?!*

Mother's Day is almost here!!! This day means so much more to me now that I am a mom 🤍 so I teamed up with + to put together some flower filled Mothers Day mini photoshoots!

Both the flower truck (all decked out of course) + flower fields at the farm will be our backdrops! Think lots of greenery + beautiful local blooms 🌸!

On top of that, each mother we are celebrating will receive a flower crown OR a large bouquet (designed by Rae of Sunshine).

🍩 I always suggest 'doing' an activity as part of your shoot. In this example, my client wanted their tradition of Saturday morning donuts documented.

I thought this was such a sweet idea and a perfect way to preserve these memories with each other.

PHEW 2022 was full of so many surprises 🎉

It was one heck of a year! My son was born on March 4th and his birth impacted my life in every way. In all the best ways! I have not shared this on here yet but by the end of my 12 week maternity leave, I decided to leave my full time 9-5 job and dive head first into motherhood + Blake Evans Photography. It felt like such a CRAZY decision at the time but looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. Literally had to have my husband hit the send button on my resignation email haha!

My mini-me gave the courage to finally do it and for that, I am so grateful!

Being a business owner has so many challenges but also is SO rewarding. In the end, it is all worth it! I am literally living my dream now and I cant even believe it sometimes!

I cant wait to see where 2023 takes me. Thanks for being here!
