Remember why we have Memorial Day.
It’s not a day to take lightly. It’s not just a day off or another holiday—it’s a day to remember those who gave their lives, not only for their own families, but for people they may have never known personally. They made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, and today we honor them.
Take time today to pray for those who have lost a loved one, for those who hold tightly to precious memories, and for those who continue moving forward each day as a way to honor their loved one’s legacy.
Today, the scripture, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13), is a powerful verse to carry in our hearts as we reflect on those who gave their lives—just as Jesus gave His life for us.
Today, we remember.
Today, we honor.
Today, we pray for our country and for the families carrying both the gratitude and pain of such sacrifice.
