Summers are made for vacations. 🌞

For a few days, time slows down. You jump in the pool with your clothes on because there’s no schedule, no timeline, and no rushing to the next thing. You just get to be—to relax, laugh, and enjoy the people you love.

As a kid, I looked forward to every vacation throughout the year. Now, I find myself craving those slow days with my family. The vacations we plan around work, the moments we squeeze into busy schedules, and the days where we finally give ourselves permission to pause.

This year—and hopefully for many years to come—I’m reminding myself that work will always be there. But these moments? They won’t.

Being a mom means learning to find balance between my day job, photography, family, and my own mental health. And sometimes that balance looks like stepping away. Taking the vacation. Disconnecting from the world for a day or two. Letting yourself breathe.

And you know what? It’s okay. 🤍

The things you love will still be there. The people who love you will understand. And the clients who truly get you will understand, too—because at the end of the day, we ALL need time to slow down.

So if you’re somewhere in the middle of life right now… motherhood, going back to work, building a business, feeling lost, hopeless, scared, or completely overwhelmed…

TAKE THE TIME FOR YOURSELF.

Take the vacation.
Take the slow morning.
Put your phone down.
Get in the pool with your clothes on.
Laugh with your babies.
Rest without feeling guilty.

You don’t have to earn rest. You’re allowed to simply need it. 🤍

Because life isn’t meant to be rushed through. ✨

Today, I just wanted to take a moment and THANK YOU for being here and supporting this little endeavor I’ve got going on called Sweet Cambers.

I hope it’s blessed you as much as it has blessed my family!

What started as a mom making her kids birthday cakes for the first time 2 years ago, slowly turned into “what if I could do this as a little side hustle?”

In this last year, we’ve learned A LOT and grown all the more. Your kindness and support are what keep me driven and passionate.

It’s hard to believe we’ve traveled around the sun already and headed into year 2!

I’ve only just begun to dream up of all the cakes we’ll create together for your special life moments. It is not lost on me what an honor and privilege it is to be apart of your special life events in this way!

The Gullie family !! 2 years in a row
I’ve been able to watch there little family grow !! The kiddos were not having it they just wanted to play in the water and that’s what we did !! With kids sometimes it’s just easier to follow there leads and be adventurous
