When my friend Julie helped (ahem told me exactly what to plant and where and went with me to buy it all) me with the studio garden, she told me not to be worried if the plants don’t grow tall right away because they need a season for roots to grow deep. A space in time when the plant looks like it isn’t growing but in actuality is ensuring its foundation is strong.
I feel that way with my artistry - new endeavors that aren’t quick, that take time to learn and give me skills I can’t see the fruits of quite yet. But man, do I feel those roots gaining hold 🌱.
Anyone else feeling this way?
