A monochromatic study of blue.

Focus on fashion, soft and strong, play, and textures. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve been realizing that I’ve become both stronger and softer - my emotions are on my sleeve but also, there’s a thicker armor. I feel able to handle more differently and my body is intentionally capable. My thoughts are clear, always curious, questionable but not doubtful.

My 7-year-old, Caspian, said “Mama, no offense, but you look weird right now,” when I came down the stairs - I hope we’re all a little (or a lot) weird😏.

Today my 10-year-old said, “Mama, you’re the only woman I love🥰.” He then remembered he has some other women in his life that he adores, but man, did that make me smile.

One of my favorite people right here - you may know her as the owner of , and she’s also Mama to these three beauties❤️. If you’ve been to the dance studio, you’ve probably met them all🥰.

It’s so wonderful to have others in the community that inspire you - , you’re a gem and your family brings me joy.

I’m definitely not a “you get one shot and move on” photographer - I love when a dancer sees an image and says, “can I try one more?” The beauty of not settling - they want to try again, to lift higher, fix the aspect that makes their eyebrows crease in the middle, push just a little further.

And the smile. The smile I see when we get the image that showcases their hard work and talent, it’s my favorite.

I can relate - sometimes it’s me saying, “can we do that one more time?” Because I don’t feel like the light is doing what I wanted it to - and when it hits I have the same smile.

It’s a beautiful thing when two artists work together❤️.

galleries will be hitting inboxes soon (with an extended order window because, life), and also, I found out they have adult beginner ballet lessons on Saturday mornings. Who wants to join me?🩰

Liz understood the assignment and Sebastian followed right along - a Royal Tenenbaums inspired session was just the best request.
