I caught this cute little fellow perched atop a fence post looking out over a field of corn. He must have thought he was the luckiest squirrel in the world dreaming of all the corn he would stash away for winter. He found time to stretch and clean himself as he sat there. When he spotted me, he didn’t climb down the post, but rather “jumped” and scurried into the field.

This bluebird parent was caught doing a bit of bug shopping to feed his nestlings in the birdhouse. Both he and his partner were busy catching bugs and doing door dash delivery for their baby blues.

Two of my favorite colors; blue and yellow, come together to make this one of my favorite summer pics. The mullein plant is always a favorite perch for the bunting. It’s almost as if he knows how the yellow blooms accentuate his blue feathers.

On the day before our country’s 250th celebration of Independence, this song rings so full of hope in its prayer that we will live in a land of peace and brotherhood. Its a time to commemorate the sacrifices made by all people of all genders, religions and ethnicities, who strived to make this country a beautiful melting pot of varied traditions and customs but held a common belief that we had more in common as Americans than we had differences. Our diversity makes us stronger and more powerful.
I also believe that part of that peace and brotherhood includes the love and care of our planet and the animals we share it with. We are fortunate for the beautiful land, rivers and wildlife here. It is our mission to care and protect this beautiful land for future generations.

Lake Louise is a stunning turquoise lake in Banff National Park. The lake is fed by Victoria Glacier and the crystal clear water is the freshest and best tasty water I’ve ever had.
My husband and I walked the trails surrounding the lake and this particular view made me catch my breath!
