It’s been almost a month since I photographed this session. Between summer fun and a full shooting schedule, things have been busy! If I’ve photographed you recently, you’ll likely you’ll get your proofing gallery before you see a peek up here, but I have lots of fun sessions that will (hopefully!) get posted here eventually.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I’m heading to the beach and plan to do some floating in the ocean to wind down a bit before sessions every day this week and a huge pile of editing and album designing. Stay cool this week! ☀️🏖️

I love when seniors choose the city for their session — it’s such a fun change from the usual spots, and the mix of architecture and nature always makes for great photos. Loved meeting you and your family, Gianna! The rest are coming your way very soon! 💛

Roses + pointe shoes + perfect light = magic ✨ But let me tell you — the odds were not in our favor for this session! It was 100 degrees, and I locked my keys, phone, and gear in the car as I was leaving. 🤦‍♀️ Thankfully I had backup gear in reach, borrowed my husband’s car, and (yep) drove over the neighbor’s lawn to make it happen.

And somehow… it all worked out beautifully. 💫

P.S. Timing is everything — these roses were gone just a week later. Want dahlias? August and September are peak bloom. Reach out and I’ll help you plan it right!

Early summer is perfect for outdoor photos—lush green grass, soft light, and flowers all around. And don’t worry if your little one isn’t sitting up solo yet—there are plenty of ways to safely and sweetly support them (like a cozy prop against mom!) for adorable shots like this 💛

Things are absolute s**t right now. There’s so much happening that it’s overwhelming, heartbreaking, and terrifying.

I’m not someone who averts my eyes or plugs my ears when history is unfolding. I’ve paid attention to “politics” and current events for as long as I can remember. But the past few weeks? Even I have gone a little underground — staying just informed enough to function, because it’s been… a lot.

But damn, things are BAD. And we can’t afford to look away.

Our country is in crisis. Our rule of law, our freedoms, our social safety nets, our education system, protections for women, and LGBTQ+ folks and marginalized communities — all of it is under immediate threat.

Will my everyday life, as a middle class, white, cisgender woman, change tomorrow? Maybe not. But if that’s the only thing I care about, what does that say about me? About any of us?

I wish I could just go about my life without caring. But I can’t. If you have an empathetic bone in your body, please pay attention. Speak up. While we still can.

And yes — this is my business page. And no — I have zero hesitation posting this here. I’m a small business owner who stands for inclusion and against tyranny. If that makes you want to work with me, great. If not? Totally okay.
